The fall 2026 anime season is bringing back several major franchises while introducing new adaptations of video games and fantasy series. Exact premiere dates have been announced for some of the season’s biggest titles, while others are still scheduled only for October or the broader fall window.

Here are 10 anime worth watching and when they are expected to arrive.

Sekiro: No Defeat — September 4 in Japan

Based on FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Sekiro: No Defeat explores the world behind the acclaimed action game. Set during Japan’s Sengoku period, the story focuses on the rule of Sword Saint Isshin Ashina and the growing threat posed by the Interior Ministry.

The anime began a three-week theatrical run in Japan on September 4. A worldwide release date has not yet been announced.

Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans — October 2

The latest Tokyo Revengers instalment continues the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, whose ability to travel through time has repeatedly drawn him into conflicts with Tokyo’s youth gangs. The new arc increases the tension as several powerful factions compete for control following the collapse of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Ranma 1/2 Season 3 — October 3

The modern adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi‘s classic manga follows martial artist Ranma Saotome, who transforms into a girl whenever cold water splashes on him. His attempts to manage the curse, his complicated engagement to Akane Tendo and a growing number of eccentric rivals drive the series’ martial arts comedy.

Blue Box Season 2 — October 4

Blue Box combines high school romance with competitive sports. It follows badminton player Taiki Inomata, whose determination to improve on the court becomes more complicated when he starts living with his basketball-playing crush, Chinatsu Kano.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 — October 20

Studio Trigger returns to Night City with a new standalone 10-episode story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Unlike the first season, the new series follows a different group of characters and centres on themes of redemption and revenge amid the violence and corporate power struggles of the futuristic city.

The series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on October 20.

Black Clover Season 2 — October

The long-awaited continuation of Black Clover returns to the world of Asta and Yuno, two rivals pursuing the title of Wizard King. Asta, who was born without magical abilities, has relied on his anti-magic powers to compete in a society where magic determines much of a person’s status.

The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 — October

The new season follows Maomao, an exceptionally observant apothecary whose knowledge of medicine and poisons repeatedly draws her into the intrigues of the imperial court. The upcoming story will take the series beyond the setting explored in its previous seasons.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus — Fall 2026
