“Animal Hospital” sweeps top honours at 2026 Roblox Innovation Awards
The ominous veterinary simulator «Animal Hospital» claimed multiple top prizes at the 2026 Roblox Innovation Awards on Saturday, capping off an evening that highlighted the platform’s increasingly diverse development ecosystem.
The awards ceremony concluded the 12th annual Roblox Developer Conference in San Jose. Winners across 20 distinct categories were determined by an unprecedented 319mn community votes, reflecting the massive user engagement driving the modern platform.
Developed by Animal Anomaly, «Animal Hospital» immediately captivated the player base with its blend of nighttime patient care, anomaly detection and survival horror elements. The title’s unique execution of a suspicious medical facility earned it several accolades throughout the ceremony, culminating in the final overall award of the night.
Justin Sousa, the head of the developer community at Roblox, presented the awards and emphasised how the winning projects reflect a significant evolution in user-generated content.
Action and audio innovations recognised
While the veterinary horror experience took the overarching spotlight, several other notable titles secured major recognition. Nosniy Games won the Game award for «RIVALS», a highly polished competitive first-person shooter featuring intense one-on-one duels and larger team battles.
The studio’s consistent output, which includes popular titles like «Treasure Quest» and «Super Golf», also earned Nosniy Games the Studio of the Year designation. Meanwhile, LSPLASH received honours for «DOORS», which was celebrated for its innovative use of sound design to build tension and enhance player awareness in a horror setting.
Other creative achievements were highlighted across various disciplines. Developer Onogork secured the Plugin prize for the UGC Makers Toolbox while the Partnership category went to a collaboration between Do Big and Sony Pictures for «Steal a Brainrot x GOAT». Creator Valkenheim won for exceptional avatar work and YouTube personality Laughability took home the Video Star award.
Preparing for a historic anniversary
The Innovation Awards served as the closing event for a developer conference filled with major platform announcements. Before concluding the ceremony, Sousa revealed details regarding an upcoming milestone celebration that will engage the entire global player base.
The platform will officially commemorate two decades of history with a massive event titled «The Hunt: Roblox 20», scheduled to begin on September 17. Sousa noted that the creativity showcased during the awards ceremony directly reflects the 20 years of continuous evolution that the anniversary event aims to celebrate.
