iOS 27 timings: when Apple’s update releases in Asia

Apple’s iOS 27 is scheduled to be released on Monday, 14 September. Users in Türkiye, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Pakistan and India will receive the update in the evening. In Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Pakistan the download should be available at around 10pm local time.

The update may appear several minutes later on some devices. Heavy demand can also slow downloads during the first hours of a major iOS release.

Users can check manually by opening Settings, selecting General and then Software Update. The installation may appear later if the phone refreshes its connection to Apple’s servers.
Anyone who does not need the update on release night may find the process faster by waiting until Tuesday. Backing up important data and ensuring that the phone has sufficient free storage and battery power are sensible precautions before installation.
What changes in iOS 27
The headline feature is Siri AI, Apple’s long-awaited overhaul of its voice assistant. It will launch in beta and initially work on devices configured in English, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish planned for October, according to The Verge.
Apple says the assistant will offer more conversational responses and stronger awareness of personal context. However, the most advanced Apple Intelligence functions require newer hardware, so owners of older compatible iPhones will not receive every advertised AI feature.

The update also adds an opacity control for Apple’s Liquid Glass interface, along with refreshed icons and extra-large widgets. Lock-screen users can resize the clock more freely, while separate volume controls make it possible to adjust ringtones, alarms, timers, alerts and system sounds independently.

Apple has retained support for the same broad device generation as iOS 26, covering the iPhone 11 series and later as well as the second-generation iPhone SE and newer models. Compatibility with iOS 27 does not necessarily mean compatibility with Siri AI.
The new iPhone 18 Pro models will ship with iOS 27. Apple’s foldable iPhone Duo, which arrives in October, will use a later version adapted for its two-screen design.
