Uzbekinvest presents Uzbekistan’s economic reforms at Global Insurance Congress in Monte Carlo

Uzbekistan’s economic transformation and the growing role of its insurance sector were presented to the international business community during the Rendez-Vous de Septembre (RVS) in Monte Carlo, one of the world’s leading gatherings for the global insurance and reinsurance industry.
The event brought together around 4,000 executives and representatives of major insurance companies from across the world.
During the presentation, Uzbekinvest outlined Uzbekistan’s investment potential, developments in the country’s financial and insurance markets, and the results of economic reforms implemented over the past decade under the reform agenda of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The discussion focused on Uzbekistan’s sustained economic growth, rising foreign investment, improving macroeconomic stability and the expanding role of industry, services and small and medium-sized businesses in the country’s economy.
Particular attention was given to the transformation of Uzbekistan’s financial services sector. Insurance is increasingly being shaped by digitalisation, advanced information technologies and the adoption of artificial intelligence across underwriting, risk assessment and other business processes.
On the sidelines of RVS 2026, Uzbekinvest management held a series of meetings with executives from leading insurance companies in Europe, North America, Southeast and South Asia, and the Middle East.
The negotiations resulted in new agreements and documents aimed at expanding international cooperation in the insurance of direct and portfolio investments in Uzbekistan, supporting foreign trade transactions and strengthening the country’s export potential.

Another highlight of the programme was the presentation of «Artificial Intelligence in Insurance,» a monograph by Uzbekinvest Director General Rustam Azimov, published in Paris in August 2026 by French publishing house L’Harmattan.
The Monte Carlo meetings reflect Uzbekistan’s broader effort to deepen its integration into international financial markets while positioning insurance as an increasingly important instrument for investment, trade and economic development.
