Tashkent becomes one-ticket bridge between Europe, Dubai and Russia
Passengers travelling with the Emirates-based low-cost carrier flydubai can now use Uzbekistan’s capital city of Tashkent as a connecting hub for onwards Uzbekistan Airways flights to Russia and Europe.
Flydubai confirmed that interline passengers can book connecting sectors on a single itinerary and have checked baggage transferred through to their final destination rather than collecting and rechecking it between airlines.
Uzbekistan Airways specifically named Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk in Siberia among the Russian cities available to flydubai passengers via Tashkent, alongside European destinations such as Frankfurt, London, Milan, Munich, Paris and Rome. Those connections became available from 15 September.

The other half of the network
The arrangement works in both directions.
From 21 September, Uzbekistan Airways passengers can buy connecting itineraries through Dubai to more than 40 destinations that flydubai serves. The flag carrier lists Addis Ababa, Krabi, Nairobi and Zanzibar among destinations that were previously outside its network.
Connections will also include Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Pisa, Naples, Muscat, Salalah and Malé.
Flydubai announced the Uzbekistan Airways deal together with a separate interline partnership with Air India. Combined, the two agreements give its passengers access to more than 80 additional destinations and raise the number of airlines in flydubai’s interline network to 46.
