South Korean musician V has been appointed the new global brand ambassador for London-based tech company Nothing. The BTS member fronts the latest campaign for the brand, debuting the premium Headphone (1) Pro model.

The partnership arrives shortly after the artist, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung, disclosed in an August livestream that he has been receiving treatment for partial hearing loss. V revealed his right ear had dropped to 30% capacity, a condition that progressively worsened during his compulsory 18-month military service. He is currently under the care of an audiologist and receiving medication.

To signal his continued dedication to studio-grade audio, the singer appears in a new Seoul-shot campaign photographed by Dorothea Sing Zhang. The imagery highlights the relationship between artistic expression and technical design while showcasing the versatility of authentic expression.

The promo campaign

Nothing co-founder and chief executive Carl Pei noted the natural alignment between the musician and the brand.

«V has an instinct for fearless experimentation,» Pei said. «He follows his creative instincts, not tried-and-tested formulas, and that’s exactly what we wanted to capture with Headphone (1) Pro. We’ve built it to give people more freedom and flexibility in everyday listening. V was the perfect choice, as we define technical excellence for the next generation of creatives.»

The social media rollout fully embraced internet culture. On Instagram, Nothing updated its biography to reference the popular description «V stepped into the crowd…» and changed the text to «V stepped into the crown wearing Nothing» in a nod to its new ambassador.

The promotional material further highlighted the musician’s immense global influence. In a post featuring a promotional video, the brand described V as a member of the world’s most-streamed band, a platinum-selling artist and one of the most famous people on the planet.

Another post depicted the singer wearing the silver and white over-ear headphones while looking directly into the camera, accompanied by a caption suggesting he is listening to a fan’s favourite song.

V on audio specs

The Headphone (1) Pro, which retails for $399, sits at the premium end of Nothing’s audio offering and retains the transparent industrial design language for which the company is recognised. According to the brand’s social media announcements, the device features a triple driver architecture designed to deliver deeper bass, textured vocals and richer instruments.

The model brings studio-grade tools to everyday listening, offering active noise cancellation and dynamic spatial audio for environments ranging from a mixing room to a daily train commute or bedroom.

«I’m excited to be part of this bold new chapter with Nothing,» V said in a statement shared by the brand. «Headphone (1) Pro is a design grounded in creative expression.»

V’s appointment expands Nothing’s growing connection to contemporary music and culture. His addition to the roster follows British pop singer Charli xcx, who joined the technology company as a global brand ambassador and shareholder earlier in 2026.

Headphone (1) Pro specifications

The newly launched Headphone (1) Pro features a sophisticated triple driver architecture designed to improve overall sound quality and ensure vocal clarity. This configuration consists of a 40-millimetre bass dynamic driver, a precision dynamic driver for the mids and a solid-state xMEMS driver dedicated to treble frequencies.

For listening in noisy environments, the device employs an adaptive active noise cancellation system. Powered by ten microphones, this technology offers up to 46 decibels of noise reduction.

The $399 headphones, made of aluminium with a titanium hanger and scratch-resistant glass, weigh 327 grammes and are rated IP52 for water and dust. The internal battery can play audio for 68 hours without active noise cancellation and 30 hours with it.

A five-minute fast charge gives four hours of listening time when the battery is low. The over-ear model supports Bluetooth 6.1 multipoint connectivity, dynamic spatial audio, and a Metropolis Studios-developed studio mode that switches the output to a flat EQ for critical listening.
