
Gipsy Rose Blanchard’s boyfriend Ken Urker died of an overdose after being found dead at his Louisiana home on his 34th birthday.
Blanchard told People that she does not know what substance Urker took or whether the overdose was intentional. «I don’t know if it was intentional or not,» she said, adding that he had not been in a good state of mind recently.
Urker was found dead in his home in Raceland, La., on Thursday, 1 October. Deputies responded to the home about 6:15pm, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office said, and he was found dead on arrival.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard breaks silence
Blanchard expressed disbelief at Urker’s death and remembered him as a devoted father to their daughter Aurora.
She also claimed Urker had faced ongoing online harassment during their relationship, and that public scrutiny had significantly affected him. Blanchard requested privacy for their daughter and both families.
Urker and Blanchard first met while Blanchard was serving a prison sentence for her role in her mother’s 2015 murder. They got engaged in 2018, but later separated.

Blanchard later married Ryan Anderson, but the couple split after her release from prison in December 2023. In April 2024, she reunited with Urker, and in December of that year, they welcomed their daughter Aurora.
Urker also appeared with Blanchard in the Lifetime reality show Gipsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.
