Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has become a father for the first time, with the arrival of his first child with wife Alexandra just days before the São Paulo Grand Prix.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday, 4 November, posting a photograph of their newborn and revealing the baby’s name and date of birth.
Their daughter, Bianca, was born on Tuesday, 3 November. The announcement featured a photograph of her feet in pink knitted clothing, alongside the caption: «Bianca 🤍 3.11.26.»
Leclerc, 29, and Alexandra married in a private ceremony in Monaco on 28 February 2026, after announcing their engagement in November 2025. The couple have been together since 2023.
The birth comes during a busy period for the Ferrari driver, with the Brazilian Grand Prix scheduled for 6–8 November.
Will Leclerc miss the Brazilian Grand Prix?
Leclerc will miss at least the opening free practice session (FP1) on Friday, with Ferrari junior driver Dino Beganovic taking his place alongside Lewis Hamilton.
The 22-year-old Swede, who currently competes in Formula 2, has already driven Ferrari’s 2026 car during practice sessions earlier this season.
Leclerc has remained in Monaco to spend time with his wife and newborn daughter. His participation in Friday’s second practice session has not yet been confirmed, meaning he could miss both sessions depending on his travel arrangements.
However, the Monegasque driver previously said he did not expect to miss any races because of the birth.
«I might arrive at the races a little later,» Leclerc told reporters ahead of the United States Grand Prix in October.
«But I’ll compete in all the races on Sunday.»
The Brazilian Grand Prix weekend begins with two practice sessions on Friday, followed by final practice and qualifying on Saturday. The 71-lap race at Interlagos takes place on Sunday, 8 November.
Ferrari has not announced any changes to Leclerc’s participation in qualifying or the race.
