Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa got a point to spare over the bottom team on the judges’ leaderboard with their Hamilton paso doble on Dancing with the Stars. The viewer votes came in, and it was them going home.

Stiles suffered a flare-up of an old rib injury during rehearsals for the 2 November episode. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba saw a stumble on the floor but praised the emotion Stiles brought to ‘Satisfied’.

The paso doble scored 33 out of 40.

Their team dance earned them a score of 69 out of 80, tying them with Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik and one point ahead of Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas. Both couples survived the ordeal.

One point made the difference at the top

Harry Shum Jr and Jenna Johnson scored a perfect 80 across their Mary Poppins routine and team dance. Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy matched them.

The tie was decided by their season totals: Shum and Johnson led 236 to 235, earning a pass through the dance-off on Grammy Night, which airs on 10 November on ABC and Disney+.
