The Agency for Agro-Industrial Development under the Uzbek Agriculture Ministry has announced plans to plant ten thousand hectares of industrial orchards and vineyards in the capital region.
To facilitate this initiative, the region aims to reduce the area dedicated to cotton and grain crops by 30%. Additionally, some new plantations may be established in the foothill areas, replacing low-yield orchards and vineyards.
Specialists are currently working to identify lands that have low and declining yields.
