The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan appoints Abdul Ghafar Tirawi as the new ambassador to Uzbekistan, as reported by TOLOnews.
The head of Afghanistan’s Third Political Department, Zakir Jalali, announced that the appointed ambassador is expected to assume his duties in Tashkent soon.
In mid-August 2024, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov said at a meeting with Taliban government representatives that both sides had reached an agreement on this matter.
