The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan has launched a new Digital Technology Centre in Shanghai, according to news agency Dunyo. The project was implemented in partnership with Chinese firm Shanghai Oriental Credits.

Ford has recalled 300,000 Mustang Mach-E electric vehicles due to a defect in the door locking system, Bloomberg reports.

The affected vehicles were manufactured between 2021 and 2025. Around 200,000 of them were sold in the United States.

In 2024, Uzbekistan attracted $2.8 bn in foreign direct investment (FDI), surpassing Kazakhstan for the first time in three decades to become Central Asia’s leading recipient of FDI, according to new data from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

The report shows that FDI inflows to Uzbekistan reached $2.8 bn, while Kazakhstan—long the regional leader since 1992—recorded a negative net flow of –$2.55 bn.

Uzbekistan plans to establish a nuclear medicine centre in partnership with Russia, Deputy Minister of Energy Azim Akhmedkhadzhaev announced, according to Sputnik.

The facility will be created jointly with the Berezin Medical Institute (MIBS) of Russia.

The centre will offer radionuclide therapy, produce radiopharmaceuticals and train specialised medical personnel.
