The refreshed Zeekr 7X will feature extended driving ranges of 600 km, 620 km, 715 km, 770 km and 802 km, according to a recent filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. This upgrade comes with stronger electric motors and bigger battery packs, although the exterior styling remains almost unchanged from the current model, CNC reports.

The present Zeekr 7X is available in three trims priced between 229,900 and 269,900 yuan (about $32,300 to $37,900), offered in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. New version retains the same dimensions at 4,825 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,666 mm tall, with a 2,925 mm wheelbase. Curb weight varies from 2,280 to 2,470 kg.

In terms of technology, the new 7X includes a roof-mounted lidar and will support Nvidia’s Thor-U chip on some trims, enabling advanced driving assistance such as high-speed and urban Navigate on Autopilot along with multi-scenario parking functions. Buyers will be able to choose from 19, 20 or 21-inch rims in various designs, with optional red brake calipers and a retractable tow hook, although towing capacity figures have yet to be disclosed.

The new line-up will still include RWD and AWD versions but with greater performance. The RWD model is fitted with a 370 kW (496 hp) motor, while the AWD adds a 215 kW (288 hp) front motor. Two battery pack options of 103 kWh and 75 kWh provide ranges of 802/770/715 km and 600/620 km, respectively.

Zeekr also confirmed that some versions of the 7X will feature a 900V system. By comparison, the current RWD delivers 310 kW (416 hp) and 440 Nm, while the AWD adds a 165 kW (221 hp) front motor, with battery options of 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate and 100 kWh ternary lithium packs, giving CLTC ranges of 605 km, 705 km and 780 km.

Kursiv Uzbekistan also reports that Volkswagen has announced a €1 bn (£866mln) investment in artificial intelligence.
