Director Aditya Dhar revealed that the cast and crew of his upcoming film Dhurandhar worked intensive 16–18 hour days over one and a half years, despite growing calls for standard eight-hour shifts in the film industry.

Speaking at the trailer launch, the filmmaker praised his team’s dedication: «From actors to assistants, even the spot boys, everyone felt they had to give their life to this film,» he said.

He added that not once did anyone complain about the demanding schedule.

Dhar’s comments come amid a wider debate sparked by actress Deepika Padukone, who has advocated for eight-hour workdays and better support for new mothers in the industry.

The film, starring Ranveer Singh, is scheduled for release on December 5, 2025.
