Jay, a member of South Korean boy band ENHYPEN, was allegedly stalked for months by an individual who impersonated a service worker, secretly recorded their conversations and shared them online.

The group’s agency, BELIFT LAB, confirmed on 3 November that it had filed a criminal complaint over the repeated harassment and invasion of privacy.

According to the agency, the incidents began in June 2026, when the individual obtained Jay’s private phone number and called him pretending to represent an internet and television installation company.

The caller mentioned Jay’s family and attempted to obtain additional personal information. Suspicious of the conversation, Jay contacted his relatives, who confirmed that the caller’s claims were false.

Despite receiving no response, the culprit continued contacting the singer over the following months, causing him considerable distress, BELIFT LAB said.

BELIFT LAB contacted South Korea’s three major telecommunications providers for assistance in identifying the suspect.

«We have filed a criminal complaint against the individual,» the agency said.

It added that information provided by ENHYPEN fans had helped prepare the complaint. «We will not extend any leniency or enter into settlements with those responsible,» BELIFT LAB warned.
