As the 2026 World Cup approaches, LEGO has teamed up with some of football’s biggest names to launch a new minifigure collection.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr have all been turned into LEGO figures as part of the ‘Editions’ series, which shifts the focus from trophies to the players who define the sport.
The sets are designed to celebrate creativity in football, allowing fans to build and display models inspired by their heroes.
In a new promotional video, the four stars compete to assemble a LEGO World Cup trophy before a young fan steps in to finish the model and place a customised figure on top. Ronaldo and Messi have previously appeared together in a Louis Vuitton campaign, highlighting their rivalry and friendship.
The collection includes sets tailored to each player’s style and achievements. Ronaldo’s set features a sculptural R-shaped base in Portugal’s colours with hidden details of his career, a Ronaldo minifigure and a collectible plaque.
Messi’s build is based on an M-shaped base in Argentina’s national colours, showcasing his number 10 jersey. Vini Jr’s set bursts with Brazilian flair on a V-shaped base with his No.7, while Mbappe’s creation reflects French elegance with an M-shaped base and his number 10 jersey. The series offers fans of all ages a chance to construct, display and celebrate the stars at home.
