Las Vegas has just become the ultimate destination for the global BTS fanbase. As an official partner of Hybe’s sprawling «The City» project, an immersive fan programme that links concerts, activations and exclusive events across host cities, the Arte Museum in Las Vegas has proudly opened its doors to «BTS The City Arirang».

Operated by the acclaimed digital design company D’strict, the immersive exhibition launched on Wednesday. The opening was perfectly timed to build momentum ahead of the K-pop sensation’s highly anticipated weekend concert in the city.

Translating sound into spectacle

The entire digital showcase is heavily centred on Arirang, the group’s phenomenal fifth studio album which dominated both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts following its release in March.

Rather than a traditional gallery walk, the space offers a deeply multisensory experience. D’strict has successfully translated the album’s musical atmosphere and core themes into sweeping visual installations, allowing fans to step directly into the world of the music.

Signature installations

D’strict, a Seoul-based collective that currently manages seven immersive museum spaces worldwide, has brought several breathtaking centrepieces to the Vegas venue:

Arirang Wave: This is a brand-new iteration of the studio’s iconic «Wave» installation. The original 2020 piece captivated audiences at Seoul’s Coex K-Pop Square with its hyper-realistic digital illusion of giant crashing water, and this updated version promises a similarly awe-inspiring impact.

Arirang Garden: The museum’s primary hall has been completely overhauled to house five distinct media artworks. A standout piece is «No. 29», which casts the striking silhouettes of the seven band members against a minimalist digital environment accompanied by the echoing chime of resonant bells.

Fans in Nevada have until June 17 to explore the Las Vegas residency. Following its debut run, the «Arte Museum X BTS The City Arirang» spectacular will pack up and travel to Busan and New York for its next exhibitions.
