YouTube star and musician KSI has confirmed that his departure from the Sidemen is genuine, addressing growing concern among fans following recent announcements that suggested he was leaving the popular content creator group.

Speaking in a video message, KSI acknowledged that many supporters were upset by the news and described the reaction as similar to a period of «grieving» among the group’s fanbase. However, he stressed that his decision was not a publicity stunt and that he remains on good terms with the other members.

The 31-year-old, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, said he felt it was the right time to pursue new opportunities and focus on personal projects outside the Sidemen brand. He emphasized that there was no conflict within the group and thanked fans for their support over the years.

The Sidemen, one of the world’s most successful YouTube collectives, was founded in 2013 and includes KSI, Simon Minter, Josh Bradley, Tobi Brown, Ethan Payne, Vikram Barn and Harry Lewis. The group has built a global audience through videos, live events, merchandise and business ventures.

KSI’s announcement has sparked widespread discussion across social media, with fans debating what the move could mean for the future of the Sidemen and the creator’s next career steps.
